Six cities within the United States have Ride The Ducks tours, operated by Hirschend Family Entertainment. Dollywood and Stone Mountain Park are also operated by Hirschend Family Entertainment. Amphibious sightseeing tours that explore cities and their waterways are given in boat-car cars.
The Ride The Ducks Accident
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, a Ride The Ducks boat had to shut down their engines, and was later rammed by the barge. The boat capsized when a sludge barge ran into the disabled boat. 35 of the 37 individuals were rescued, though a 16 year old woman and 20 year old man are nevertheless missing.
Philly Ride The Ducks accident under investigation
After the Ride The Ducks accident in Philadelphia, the National Transportation Safety Board announced they would be launching an investigation. Depending on who is at fault for the accident, the NTSB may levy fines. Until the investigation is complete, the Ride The Ducks tours around the country have been shut down.
