While the Apple iPad may be the newest thing for most people this April, Apple has already announced the iPhone OS4. Apple will preview or give a “sneak peak” this Thursday at the Apple headquarters. When the iPhone OS4 is released, it will end up on devices beyond the iPhone. The iPad runs the iPhone OS also. When should I expect the iPhone OS4?
The announcement event for iPhone OS4 will give us some details. If the release of iPhone OS3 is any indication, the OS4 will be a while. Apple iPhone OS 3 was released in June after a March preview. So, most likely, your iPad apps, iPhone, and iPod Touch won’t be sprinting the iPhone OS4 until at least June or July.
